Kaplan Math Workbook Algebra Level 2 Test
Algebra Level 2 Test (13/15) - 87%
I just noticed I hadn't posted algebra level 2 test result which I took on Saturday I think, not too bad.

Kaplan Math Workbook Geometry
1. Lines & Angles (11/14) - 79%
One careless error.
2. Triangles (17/21) - 81%
3. Quadrilaterals (14/19) - 74%
First two I did yesterday, I was a bit drunk for the second one and the third one was done after a long Monday.

Kaplan Math Workbook Arithmetic continued
5. Percentages (24/25) - 96%
Always been pretty good at percentages. Messed up once converting a fraction to a percent.
6. Exponents (16/17) - 94%
I surprised myself here. When first looked at this chapter I felt I had forgotten everything I had studied before. Also figured out how to change the base of a term. I'm sure that will be useful. I made just one mistake, I actually misread the question but not sure if I had gotten it right if I hadn't misread it. Nevertheless, I'm quite pleased with myself.
That's all for arithmetic in the Kaplan Math Workbook, on to algebra!

Kaplan Math Workbook Arithmetic
So I got started on the Kaplan Math Workbook to go over math principles again to be sure I've got it.
1. Number Operations Test (12/14) - 86%
Had trouble converting between fractions and decimals once and made one careless error. Also, there was one print error in the book (problem no. 9) so only 14 questions count.
2. Number Properties Test (14/19) - 74%
Not horrible but needs some work.
3. Averages Test (16/16) - 100%
Ha! I'm good at statistics! It was the only quantitative course I took in university so I guess that explains it.
4. Ratios Test (22/24) - 92%
Just one conceptual error.

7. Overlapping Sets (12/15) - 80%
Pretty easy this one, I was a bit careless though.

6. Statistics (11/15) - 73%
Some careless errors here and I managed to get the last problem right without much or any trouble. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all.

Word Translations - Probability
5. Probability (9/15) - 60%
A bit better than the last chapter, I made some errors here because I didn't quite get the last chapter on combinatorics. Some serious algebra here as well.

Word Translations - Combinatorics
4. Combinatorics (5/15) - 33%
This was a real bloodbath.
I'm having trouble figuring out when the internal order of a chosen group matters and when it does not.
I think it goes like that - let's say there's eight people but only four seats in a car so when you are asked to find the number of possible combinations of people who get in the car the internal order does not matter - just who's in and who's not. However if you are asked the find the number of possible seating arrangements of the people who get in the car then the internal order matters. That's how I understand it. Still, I'm having trouble applying this to the exercises.

Geometry
4. Lines & Angles (9/15) - 60%
Well, the problems were more about combining equations than geometry really. 60% correct for the third time in a row. I'm really going to need to review these later but for now at least I'm getting an idea of what I need to know for the test.

3. Circles & Cylinders (9/15) - 60%
Yeah, that's low, but this time I managed to get the last (and the most complicated I'm sure) problem right!

I've always hated geometry. What does any of this have to do with business studies anyway?

Geometry
1. Polygons (11/15) - 73%
Still on track, I decided to leave the book on word translations for later since I'm really weak at geometry. I think I will need to go over all the books again, I haven't done any of the exercises linked from the OGs or even looked at the advanced sections so once I've gone over all the material that is covered I will try to get into more detail. Wish me luck.

That was bloody awful - it took forever to get these done, I'm just so tired.

3. Positives & Negatives (14/15) 93%
4. Consecutive Integers (14/15) 93%
5. Exponents (14/15) 93%
6. Roots (12/15) 80%
7. PEMDAS (7/10) 70%
A little bit better but I'm still not comfortable with all of the material. Also, turns out that I can't do algebra.
I still need to memorize:
4. Consecutive Integers (14/15) 93%
5. Exponents (14/15) 93%
6. Roots (12/15) 80%
7. PEMDAS (7/10) 70%

I still need to memorize:
- Rules of exponents
- Properties of squares and roots
